Ernest Opoku: I invested my entire life savings on a woman I intended to marry, only to have her send me a wedding invitation

Ernest Opoku, a gospel musician from Ghana, recalled how he sobbed uncontrollably when he received an invitation to the wedding of the woman he intended to wed.

Early in his profession, according to Ernest, he developed feelings for a woman he met at church and made all the appropriate preparations to marry her.

He said that he paid for her education, gave her expensive gifts, and looked after her parents all in an effort to one day wed her.

However, his hopes were dashed when his fiancée disclosed she was engaged to another guy after all the money had been spent.

Ernest Opoku claimed she gave him an invitation to her wedding, which only served to make matters worse. He was hurt, but he made the decision to go see for himself.

The gospel singer recalled a tragic day by saying he arrived at the site in the Ashanti Region's Ejisu very early to have a seat that would give him a good view of the bride and groom.

He remembered, "Up until the presiding pastor said, 'You may kiss your bride,' I was quite cool and collected.

 When he saw his dear ex-girlfriend sharing a kiss with her husband at that same moment, Ernest claimed his heart began to beat more quickly and tears began to fall from his eyes.

Then, he understood that his "wrong investment" was a mistake.

After experiencing his first breakup, Ernest Opoku claimed he promised never to fall in love with the wrong person again.
