GAF Investigates Military Man who lashed Taxi Driver for not Wearing Face Mask

The Ghana Armed Forces says it has launched investigations into occurrences that led to the abuse of a civilian, believed to be a taxi driver, by a military man for failing to observe mandatory Coronavirus safety protocols.

A viral video in circulation on social media captured a military man lashing the taxi driver while a colleague by him looked on.

The taxi driver – who is said to have disregarded safety protocols by not wearing a facemask – had tied a handkerchief across his nose.

The military man was seen in the video slumping the taxi driver on a car bonnet, and giving him cane strokes while he continued to plead.

Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Armed Forces, Colonel Evans Aggrey-Quashie, per an article by GhanaWeb said, his outfit has taken cognisance of the incident and initiated investigations into the matter.
