Farewell: Hammer Releases Agyekum’s Video With Sarkodie

Hammer of The Last Two produces never before seen video of Agyekum and Sarkodie’s 2019 hit ‘Ohohuo Asem’

Hammer has finally released the unseen video of Agyekum and Sarkodie's 2019 hit 'Ohohuo Asem'.

This comes after Hammer revealed that Agyekum had died 2 months after they shot the video.

The music producer admitted that he was "so broken" after the death of Agyekum that he decided not to release the video to the public especially since it would be disrespectful to Agyekum's family.

He explained how he has decided to release the video now to honour the singers' memory.

The YouTube profits of the song will be given to his three children, Hammer maintained.

The track by Agyekum, which features Sarkodie was originally produced by Hammer in 2011 for his compilation “Reprisal.

A track which told the troubles of a travelling stranger with no money.

Agyekum had pleaded with Hammer to do the music video eight years after the song was released but he himself did not live to see the video released because he died 2 months after the video was ready.

“He didn’t even watch the final video. He came through to watch the first cut, went back to Nkawkaw; then we heard he had fallen sick and had been taken to Koforidua Government Hospital. I spoke to him, and after two days, his brother called me and said ‘Agyekum had passed away,” Hammer had said.

“Agyekum addressed things that were on his heart and it was partly his personal experiences,”

The music video shot and directed by Salifu Abdul Hafiz communicates the message in the song with a captivating yet emotional storyline of how Agyekum left his abode for the city and the obstacles that blurred his journey towards success. Regardless, there was light at the end of the tunnel.
