Founder and Chief Executive officer of Penciled Celebrities, artist Emmanuel Apraku, popularly known in the social media realms as Ray Styles has been confirmed to have passed on by his immediate family on Thursday, October 1, 2020.

The valiant artist struggled with liver cancer for months before giving up the ghost. His family released a statement to confirm his passing.

“I regret to announce the passing of ???????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????? ???????????? ???????????? ????????????????????????. This occurred on October 1st at the Apollo Hospital in New Delhi, India. Please continue to pray for the soul of ????????????. He fought a good fight but unfortunately lost the battle.⁣⁣⁣"

"The Maker needed His artist back. Thank you for giving Ray his flowers before his demise. He felt the love and appreciated each and every one of you. ⁣⁣⁣???????????????????? ????????????"

This comes as a huge blow to the entire nation of Ghanaian as its citizens tried their possible best to assist the artist with regards to monetary donations for his surgery.

It would be recalled how First Lady of Ghana, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, had donated the sum of $20,000 to the young and talented pencil artist.

"Dear Emmanuel, I wish you the very best, speedy recovery. God bless! Rebecca Akufo-Addo-Addo" she wrote.

This was after Ghanaians had opened a GoFundMe account for him to gather funds for the emergency surgery required to bring him back to good health.

”This is Emmanuel Apraku a.k.a Ray Styles, an extremely talented artist under the name PenciledCelebrities across all social media platforms. Ray urgently needs your support for emergency liver surgery. Kindly help with whatever little you have so we can save his life. Please donate your widow’s mite to MoMo number 0244706308 – Joana Otchere-Debrah,” the plea read.

It was estimated that £40,000 needed to keep popular Ghanaian creative alive.

Ghanaian actress, Ama K Abebrese, also donated part of the £40,000 needed to keep him alive, all to no avail. The actress used her huge platform on social media to call for more donations.

“I have donated. Kindly share and donate if you can. No amount is too small,” she wrote.
