Facilitate completion of Major Roads in Ahafo - Residents appeal to President  

Some residents in the Ahafo Region on Thursday, August 11, 2021, has appealed to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to facilitate the completion of major roads in the Region as he undertakes a working visit to the Ahafo Region.

President Akufo-Addo will pay a two-day working visit to the Region on Thursday and Friday, August 12 and 13, where he is expected to inspect and Commission some projects.

In an interview with the Soireenews in the Region on their expectations from the visit, the residents said the completion of the Goaso Kumasi Road was long overdue, and they expected the President to facilitate its completion.

“I expect the President to visit the Kenyasi- Hwidiem road and see things for himself. This is my humble request,” said Mr Abass Bukari,  driver and resident at Kenyasi.

Another resident, Gabriel Owusu Acheampong, said, “Mr President, please use your high offices to ensure Goaso roundabout road expansion of the highway drainage in front of the Goaso Traditional Council is completed”.

“The President's visit is necessary because at least he would also experience the deplorable nature of the Bechem-Techiman Ntia road,” resident, said

Some of the residents expressed concern about the poor nature of access roads in the capital and hoped that the visit would help to effect the needed changes and raise the standard of Goaso to a befitting regional capital.
