Ex-lover apprehended amid Kenyan outrage over a student's death

A guy and two accomplices have been detained in Kenya on suspicion of murdering a 19-year-old female college student.
Purity Wangechi's body was discovered on a roadside near Nairobi on Saturday morning with visible stab wounds and strangulation marks. Kenyans have taken to social media to demand justice.
On Sunday, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) announced the arrest of her ex-boyfriend, who is accused of killing her.
He is suspected of assisting two alleged accomplices in disposing of the body.
Ms. Wangechi "had fallen in love with the [suspected] killer and had been in a relationship for some time," according to the DCI.
According to the report, they disagreed after she questioned him about his behavior.
Police said they found a kitchen knife that was perhaps used in the murder.
On Twitter in Kenya, the hashtag #justiceforwangechi has been trending, with many people lamenting her death and demanding swift justice.
