The Military escort that were present at Medikal and Fela's wedding have been arrested by the Military Police of Ghana. 

The men were clad in Military uniforms with their faces veiled at the traditional wedding ceremony between rapper Samuel Audu Frimpong popularly known as Medikal and Fella Makafui on Saturday, 7th of March at Adjringanor Near East Legon in Accra. 

Colonel Eric Aggrey Quarshie, the Head of Public Relations for the Ghana Armed Forces revealed that the soldiers had been arrested as they were not authorised to be at the wedding in the first place. 

The Colonel maintain that the armed forces represent order and discipline, and that anyone acting out of this particular order would in turn be disciplined.

He stated that the practice of military officers in military uniforms making appearances at private events without approval is shaming the prestige of the military; a practice which has gone on for too long without being checked. 

Colonel Eric Aggrey Quarshie reiterated the need to restore order and break the trend before it becomes an unstopple part of the force. He said:

"The practice of military officers in uniforms making appearances at private events without approval has become one too many, and we need to stop it"

Although he refused to reveal the identities of the officers that were arrested yet he maintained that according to military regulations officers are only allowed to wear their full regalia while on duty. 

He then added that the proper sanctions would be applied if the personnel are found guilty of any offence.
