Ghanaian actress, Lydia Forson has said that local herbalists might be able to find a cure for the Coronavirus if they are properly engaged.

 According to her, Ghana shouldn’t just rely on developed countries for cure but rather make effort of procurement locally.

“Just a thought. Are we waiting for “China” or any of the developed countries to come up with a cure/treatment for #COVID19 or were engaging our local herbalists/ scientists etc to find one? Or we don’t have the resources for that? I’m actually keen on the herbalist part.”

This has come in wake of the rapid rise of coronavirus cases in Ghana. The number of regions reporting cases remain five, namely, Greater Accra, Ashanti, Northern, Upper West and Eastern.

The Greater Accra Region has most of the cases (183) followed by the Northern Region (10), Ashanti Region (9), Upper West Region (1) and Eastern Region (1).

As at 2nd April 2020, Ghana has recorded 204 cases COVID-19 with five (5) deaths.
