Ghanaian TV presenter and host of the "Duvet" show on GHONE TV, Ms Nancy, has sarcastically tendered an apology to her critics for trying to live within her own means.

The lifestyle coach offered the "plea" in an Instagram post as a reply to a publication that placed her outfit at the just ended Exclusive Men of the Year Awards in the Worst Dress List section. She uploaded a photo of the dress on her Instagram page with a caption that explained her actions.

The actress apologized for opting to wear a 200ghc gown instead of a 4000ghc that would have been very uncomfortable to afford during these times. She went on to note that she also did her make up herself instead of risking the times to go to a beauty salon where she could have contracted the Coronavirus.

“Dear @ghanawebofficial
I am sorry for going to the @emyafricawards in a hairstyle that’s less than 200ghc.
I am sorry that i wore my own lovely champagne cocktail dress which i have styled on 3 different occasions for an event slated for 1pm.
I am sorry that i fixed my own makeup in this Covid season because i am careful.
I am sorry for not getting a whole new outfit and hair which would have have cost me about 4000ghc to impress people i do not even know.
I am sorry that i live within my means and would not break my bank account so I would mix in.
I am very sorry that i will forever be myself and would not be pressured to be unhealthily competitive or live an impressionistic life.” She wrote.
