Emel Foundation donates to Wiasekrom DA Basic School in Tain

Emel Foundation has donated some Learning materials to Wiasekrom D/A Basic School, a suburb of Nsawkaw in the Tain District of the Bono Region.

The items include Exercise Books, Pens and Pencils, sharpeners, liquid soaps, and two sets of jumbo towels.

The donation formes part of activities to mark Emel Foundation's C.E.O, Emilia Hagar Esel’s 30th Birthday to show her commitment to the education and welfare of the younger generation in the Schools.

Speaking with the press at the donation she said, the action was an inspiration she derived from the kind gesture done to her during her university days and now that she can offer this little help to the younger ones in her community, she won’t hesitate to do her best.

Mr. Hanku, the Assistant Head Teacher of the School expressed his profound gratitude to Emel Foundation for the kind gesture and assured that they will use the items prudently. 

He added that "90% of the pupils don't have tables hence they lie on the bare floor to write.

He called on other philanthropies and the Government through the Assembly to come to their aid.
