Majority of Ghanaians are showering praise on the Electoral Commission’s (EC) new Biometric voting process for the 2020 elections.

Lots of polling stations in the various constituencies in the Ashanti Region are vacant as at 3 pm due to the fast-approaching measures of the Electoral Commission for this year’s polls with party agents and EC officials left benched waiting for the closing time.

People did not stay in queues for long at polling stations as already known. Five minutes is the maximum time many used in exercising their franchise commending the Electoral Commission of Ghana for their efforts in running the polls so far.

“Everything is in order and the atmosphere is very serene here. I spent almost three minutes in the queue at the Fawoade Roman Catholic School and I am very happy about the process,” Godwin Darko said.

“This is my second time voting and the division has been helpful as compared to last year. The EC has been phenomenal and my plea is for them to introduce electronic means to cast our votes. This is indeed a plus and there is no challenge,” Cecilia Yalesom.

“When I was coming, I prepared to be in a queue for hours. But I was surprised to see the massive change. Indeed, we applaud the EC for that wonderful means,” she added.
