The NADMO director of Effia-Kwesimintsim has appealed to inhabitants to observe the safety protocols of the coronavirus to prevent the diseased from spreading.

The Effia-Kwesiminstim Municipal task force have arrested five people who refused to adhere to the safety protocols by not wearing the nose mask to reduce the spread of coronavirus.

 The National Disaster Mangement Organisation (NADMO) Director for Effia-Kwesiminstim municipal, Mr Henry Kwofie speaking to SoireeNews narrated that, some recalcitrant people in the Municipality question them on reasons why they should put on the nose mask.

"Even those that sell nose masks as soon as they see the task force then they join us so that when we see you not wearing the nose mask then you buy from them, but you see people are recalcitrant to the extent that they will ask you is it by force to wear the nose mask?.

Mr Kwofie continued that, there is an order from the Municipal Chief Executive that, those markets women who do not adhere to the safety protocols will be suspended from selling from the market for some time.

He appealed to the game and video centres to put veronica bucket and soap around to strictly adhere to the safety protocols.

The work of the task force continues as anyone seen not wearing or adhering to the Covid-19 safety protocols will be handed over to the Police for the necessary punishment.
