The Divisional Police commander of Tarkwa Nsuaem, Chief Superintendent George Kumah has revealed that most drivers in Tarkwa and its environs in the Western Region only care about money but not their personnel safety.

The Police commander revealed this when the divisional community policing unite Tarkwa, organized a day stakeholders meeting with the GPRTU taxi branch and all the taxi drivers with their car owners in Tarkwa with the theme ' Enhancing community policing relations and policing in Tarkwa Nswaem municipality ' the role of taxi driver towards security in the municipality.'

The program saw drivers sharing ideas and asking questions on what to do if a driver suspects a passenger.

The Commander in an interview said drivers should take a look at their passengers well, scan them with their eye before allowing them to border their vehicles to avert insecurity on their side. 

The chief inspector of the community police unites, Tarkwa Nsuaem division Insp. Joseph Amoako who is the brain behind the program noted, he engaged the community and GPRTU, because the killing of drivers and snatching of cars is on a rise at Tarkwa, so there is a need to bring them together to Education them on personal security. 

Some of the drivers we spoke expressed their gratitude and promise to feed the police every necessary information to help curb insecurity in the area.
