Ahafo Region: Teachers threaten boycott after residents shit-bomb school

School Children at the Dantano Methodist Primary Schoola farming Community in the Asunafo South District of the Ahafo are currently having their classes under trees after some residents shit-bombed the school.

Sources revealed that the action started a week ago and has affected both the Students and the entire teaching staff.

Headteacher of the Mr Dickson Frimpong told Sulley Dramani that the situation is unbearable. 

The Head said he strongly believes it’s a result of the unwalled environment that’s paving way for some of the residents to commit such acts.

"Our classrooms are uncompleted so open defecation is going on nicely here on regular basis, anytime we come in the morning we will find human excreta dotted in the classrooms.

"It is an eyesore and disheartening to see students in their uniforms trying to clean and scrub the classrooms before they begin classes,” he said.

 Mr Kyeremeh Busia, the class four teacher who also expressed his frustration over the issue, has refused to use the classroom.

He now teaches the kids under the tree on the compound because of the stench in the classroom.

He, however, appealed to the authorities at the  Township, Assembly and Security Agencies to intervene immediately or else they will advise themselves going forward.
