The Divisional Chief of Krokobite under the Ngleshie Alata Traditional Council in the Ga South Municipality, Nii Ofei IlI, has sounded a strong warnin to the citizens and residents in Krokobite and adjoining communities not to associate themselves with Transgender, Intersex and Queer (LGBTIQ+) persons.
Waging war against Transgender, Intersex and Queer (LGBTIQ+) persons, the Ga traditionalist stressed that the residents to be mindful not to attend meetings organized by lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer persons since they would influence them to join their evil practice.
"We have credible information that Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer persons have been organizing secret meetings for some young men and women leaving on our seashores to lure them to also practice gay and lesbian.
"We are investigating the matter to unravel the true and when we grabbed any of these people in our community we would effect their arrest and prosecute them through our traditional court. We shall have a war with the homosexual lobby in the Krokobite and its adjoining communities in the Ga state," Krokobite Mantse fumed .
Speaking in an interview with Soireenews. com today Nii Ofei III called on government of Ghana to pass the anti-LGBT bill into the law to help criminalize homosexuality in the country.
He pointed out the practice of same-sex marriage is a great sin in Ghana, saying that the marriage between a man and a woman was instituted by God and is central to His plan for His children and for the well-being of society.
The chief stated that he has already alerted his Asafo groups to be monitoring the sea shores of Krokobite and effected arrest of anybody found of engaging in such practice which is an abomination.
