Prodigy, DJ Switch, has responded to the rape threats aimed at her on her social media page.

She assured all her fans that she is safe and that she has taken the necessary steps to report the situation to the appropriate authorities.

A man called Richard Amoah had dropped an inappropriate comment on one of her pictures. He said that he would love to have sexual intercourse with the 12-year-old DJ in his response.

This understandably sparked a lot of hate with Ama K Abrebese calling for action to be taken on him.

“This guy is called Richard Amoah and he feels justified in writing on the internet that he will ‘rape’ a child; DJ Switch. ‘Rape’ because a child cannot consent to sex with an adult.”

“This disgusting man and people like this are in society. I speak with families of defiled children and there is nothing funny about this. This [is] very abhorrent,” she said.

Ama K is a "Child Safety Icon" for the charity SafeChild Ghana, an organization whose primary goal is to keep the children safe from harm.

Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), also placed a reward of Ghc 2,000 for anyone on social media who can find Richard Amoah. Anyone who can manage to send the details of the current location of Richard will be able to receive the instant reward from the broadcaster.

Richard Amoah eventually came out to claim that his account was hacked and that the comment was not of his own doing. He uploaded a video to explain the circumstances of his plight.

Nevertheless, the 12-year-old DJ switch took to her Instagram to assure her fans of her safe condition.

”Dear Instagram Family, Thank you for all your concern regarding the recent cyber attack against me. All information regarding this matter has been handed to the right authorities for further investigation. I’m fine and staying safe. Switch up and be safe,” She wrote.
