Actress Kafui Danku accuses the NPP administration of charging her GHC1000 when she went to an East Legon salon to have her hair braided.

Deputy Minister of Information's response to Kafui Danku's claim that the NPP administration was charged GHC1000 for braids at the salon

Kafui Danku described in a Facebook post from earlier today, August 10, how she paid a premium price for the service but received poor service as a result of the owner's unpleasant behavior, who fired her companion from the salon for failing to greet her.

when the unpleasant encounter yesterday, she declared that she has made the decision to disregard the woman and hold her ranting for when she attends church.

In her final statement, Kafui Danku blamed the NPP government for her "predicament," which may have irritated some of her supporters and commentators, including the Deputy Minister of Information, Fatimatu Abubakar.

“I can’t get over the bad experience I had yesterday at braid lounge in east Legon .

“That woman is rude and the worst service provider I’ve encountered. She charged me 1000 plus Ghs for braids which I was willing to pay but had issues just because my guest didn’t say hello !

“Anokwa !

“Truly, I pity those young girls working in such lousy salon!

“I went to church today o, so I’ll leave it here.

“Who even charges 1000 ghs for common braids!

“For such charges, service should be top notch.

“I blame the NPP government for all this.(sic)”

In response to Kafui Danku's post, Fatimatu Abubakar urged the actress not to hold the government responsible for anything, especially because she had the choice to visit a salon where the costs would be much lower.

“At Malata market last week, I paid 120ghc for my braids. 60ghc for the hair and 60ghc for workmanship. You make ridiculous choices, you pay ridiculous prices. Don’t blame government for everything. Hajia Mariam is my plug. If you need directions to the Salon, contact her.”

The Happy DeathDay actress stated that since she lived in East Legon and would find it inconvenient to travel 23 kilometers merely to braid her hair, it appeared she would not accept the Deputy Minister's invitation.

Kafui Danku also expressed her dissatisfaction with the deputy Minister for suggesting a location to her rather than taking action to stop the widespread fraud.

“Just because we want distance convenience, is that why we should be ripped off. In certain other countries, the government can put measures in place to regulate service rates of not only salons but hotels and accommodation. For now, I know the main association that works is the transport union. As a deputy minister, you are supposed to be addressing the rip off with measures and not recommending me to someone at Malata Market. I have had braids done equally at cheaper rates. We all want to try different things at some point, and we would always appreciate social media as an e-place we can share our experiences.????

Kafui Danku questioned her detractors about their knowledge of service providers abusing recent taxes on items in a later post on her Facebook reels that included a video taken at the aforementioned salon.

“For all those asking how is that NPP’s fault no, are you aware of the recent taxes on goods and everyone?

Some insensitive providers like this salon took advantage.

Charging 1000 cedis for braids without feeling bad.

Do you know how much taxes I had to pay for goods I shipped from China last year? Ridiculous.,” Kafui Danku posted.
