The Ashanti Regional Minister, Honorable Simon Osei Mensah has advised Ghanaians and for that matter, people in the Ashanti Region to be more cautious of the new wave Covid -19; the Delta Variant.

The Minister addressed that people are now sleeping on the health protocols introduced by the Ghana Health Service and endorsed by the President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo because they see the pandemic as a hoax.

He told that is real and the new wave is more deadly than the former hence his counsel for residents to take the measures seriously.

“Covid 19 is still with us and very deadly. The new wave is more harmful than what we experienced and if care is not taken and we take the protocols for granted, things will get worse,” he said.

“Let’s wear the nose mask wherever we go, apply your sanitizer and when it is necessary to wash your hand with water, please do for the sake of your neighbor because as you practice these protocols, you are indirectly saving someone’s life.”
