Kuami Eugene has revealed that he gets direct messages from African music heavyweights all the time.

According to him, he's had quite a number of "big people" who have contacted him to either show appreciation for his music or to encourage him to keep doing good works.

“It’s huge, for DMs I’ve had quite a number from a lot of big people and they keep coming. Some from huge artists and others from different and big countries as well”.

While speaking an interview with Brown Berry on Y 107.9 FM’s Ryse N Shyne Show he took the opportunity to make a shoutout to Nigeria's "Olamide Badoo".

“Shoutouts to Olamide. I was just there and I saw a message in my DM I checked and it was from Olamide and he just said he liked my jam and I’m doing good and so far, he’s enjoyed every single song I’ve dropped. I also told him how I appreciated him reaching out and also how much it meant to me”.

He explained that he gets a lot of direct messages daily and it is difficult to sift through the important and less important ones.

Messages from fans showing their support from all around and the ones from international musicians either appreciating him or asking for a collaboration.

“I think I got one from Reekado banks some time ago and also, the first time I spoke to Davido it was through a DM. I was just there and I saw a DM from him and it felt really good”

Kuami Eugene admitted that he feels extremely good whenever he sees other artists trying to get him to collaborate.

To him, it is a sign that he going on the right path.
