Danger Loom Commuters And  Drivers Plying Adawso -Donkokro Road
The carved-in bridge on the Adawso-Donkokro in the Kwahu South Municipality of the Eastern Region is a death trap for the commuters and commercial drivers plying that stretch of the road in the municipality.
Drivers and commuters stated that the shoddy work done by the contractor who contracted the road a few years ago has compounded the situation of the current heavy downpour to wash away the sand coater applied on the road, making the bridge develop the big death trap holes on that stretch of the road.

The drivers and commuters complained bitterly to Soireenews.com that their lives were in danger since the problem had not been solved by the state authorities.

Against this backdrop, the drivers and commuters have asked the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Kwahu South Municipal Assembly, Mr. Emmanuel Attah Ofori Senior and Member of Parliament (MP) to impress upon the Ghana Highway Authority (GHA), as a matter of urgency, rehabilitate the bridge on the Adawso-Donkokro stretch of the road to avoid accidents.
The rehabilitation of the bridge on the Adawso-Donkokro road, the drivers and commuters said would reduce road accidents on the stretch, save lives and help reduce the cost of maintaining vehicles using the road.
The drivers also entreated the GHA to find a lasting solution to the dumping of sand and mud from a nearby mountain, through erosion, onto the Adawso-Donkokro section of the road claiming there is a looming danger for drivers, commuters, and residents of Adawso and Donkokro if the problem was not addressed.
Some drivers and commuters using the road, who made the call in an interview with the Soireenews.com, said the numerous potholes developed on the newly constructed Adawso-Donkokro road which was impeding vehicular movement and putting the lives of drivers and commuters at risk.
