I am Going To Deal With You ---NDC's Man, Yaw Sam Threatens Journalist

A leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency of the Central Region,Mr. Yaw Sam has issued a threat against the life of a senior journalist.

Mr Sam has made life-threatening comments against the journalist for his "journalist work that the latter undertook during the current complaints made by some disgruntled members of the NDC in the area about missing of their names on the constituency register voters album called The Green Book ahead of the NDC's parliamentary primaries.

The disgruntled members accused Mr Sam for allegedly being the engineer behind the deletion of their names from the NDC album without their consent and knowledge.

In 2015, according to the members of the party, the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Alhaji Alhassan Kobina Gnansah contested Mrs Georgina Nkrumah Aboah Georgina, the then incumbent MP in the NDC's parliamentary primaries.

And that by the scheme of Yaw Sam, the members pointed out that these self seeking elements of the NDC in the area were able to delete most of Honorable Georgina’s supporters including some Branch Chairmen’s names from the book which led to the wrongfully election of Alhaji Ghansah. 

"And that we are here today again and they are using same Yaw Sam to delete names of whoever is ready to contest Parliamentary position with Honorable Alhaji Ghansah.

"These elements had used the executives leadership of both regional and constituency to impress upon some of the potential parliamentary candidates who are lacing their boots to contest the incoming parliamentary primaries with Alhaji Ghansah to step down for the incumbent NDC MP to go unopposed," they disclosed.

However, Mr. Sam issued the threat on the life of the journalist when the latter contacted him to get his respond to the allegations leveled against him by the affected members of the party.

This development didn't gone down well with Mr Sam who got furious and started issuing the threat on the life of the journalist.

In a response, Mr Sam angrily said" Who are the people who are making those allegations against me, l want you to mention their names to me. So if you can mention their names to me, respectfully l can deny whatever you are telling to me. If you publish the allegations against me l would take you on. 

"If you want to do proper journalistic work, you should let me know who and who has given the story to you to write against me. I can keep quiet, you can publish it.

"Somebody is making specific allegations against me and you are saying you would not mention their names to me. And you should just be speculating. Bye! Bye! you can go ahead do it. But l would deal with," Mr Sam threatened the journalist.
