Residents of Ekumfi Gyinankuma in the Ekumfi District of the Central Region have bitterly lamented over their abandoned toilet facility for the past years.

Speaking to Douglas Oyiboh Amponsah Top FM central regional correspondent, the Chief of Ekumfi Gyinankuma, Nana Ogyaboafo Akoma IX9 said, the project started well raising their hopes but only for it to be abandoned leaving the facility into an abode of snakes which is a worrying situation. 

He also expressed worry over the poor road connectivity in the area.

Reaching the Assembly Member for the Area, Mr. James Yankson, and some of the residents affected by the stalled public toilet project in Ekumfi Gyinankuma are angry and worried over the whole condition that, the facility which is scheduled to have been constructed within a year has been abandoned for 3-years, adding that their worry is the elderly people in this community.

The residents respectively expressed disappointment in the DCE and Member of Parliament, Mr. Enenezer Monney and Mr. Abeiku Crentsil calling on the MP to fulfill his responsibility as they threatened to pay him back come 2024 general elections."
