You either render account or face our wrath over stores construction on recreational centre land-- Abuakwa residents cry out.

Residents of Abuakwa in the Atwima Nwabiagya South municipal of the Ashanti Region are demanding accountability from authorities behind the use of recreational center land for the construction of stores.

The recreational center formerly known as (O-SIX) which served as weddings, funerals, and grounds for any other programs has now been converted into stores.

This has aroused the rigors of the youth of Abuakwa, therefore accusing their M.C.E, M.P and others behind the construction of the stores to account to the residents to either provide recreational center or give their fair share of the rented out store rooms for construction of other developmental projects.

Addressing a presser, Mr. Akwasi Sarpong alleged that the land was hired to the developer for almost 50 years as build, operate, and transfer (B.O.T) whiles the stores are been rented to interested people for ¢100,000 (1billion) for 5-years.

According to them, should the people that move fail to account or provide another recreational center for them, they will advise themselves or massively hit on the streets and petition the municipal assembly for immediate redress.
