Wolves are lining up an offer for former Chelsea forward, Diego Costa, according to The Times.

Cota’s remaining six-month contract was terminated by Atletico Madrid making him a free agent to join any interested club in January.

Per the reports, the 32-year old’s decision to quit playing for the Rojablancos was for family reasons, after making three appearances as substitutes for Diego Simeone's side since the middle of October.

Wolves before the start of the decision acquired Nelson Semedo from Barcelona and are still looking to add to their squad, in the absence of Raul Jimenez.

Since the Mexican fractured his skull in a sickening collision with David Luiz last month, Wolves have been struggling in front of goal with recent results not going their favour, having picked four points from a possible 18.

They failed to take their chances against Manchester United and were later left disappointed when Marcus Rashford scored a late goal to deny them a point at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

Although Fabio Silva is proving his worth leading the attacking line of the West Midlands club yet the void is still felt in the absence of the prolific goalscorer especially in the action-packed season of Premier League games.

Costa made 89 appearances during his time at Chelsea and scored 52 goals. He won three trophies, including two Premier League titles, and a League Cup.
