Sammy Forson has announced that he has contracted the deadly coronavirus.

The broadcast journalist revealed this on his social media page, Twitter.

He admitted that he got the virus in November because he took the safety protocols that were put in place to curb the spread of the virus for granted.

Using his case as a warning to other individuals, he advised that Ghanaians wear their masks always wherever they go.

"I kinda took things for granted and since 30th November, covid 19 has been dealing with me. Never have I experienced being ill like this. Being able to freely breathe is a miracle we take for granted. I am certainly thankful to be alive. Covid is real. WEAR A MASK ALWAYS" he wrote. 

According to the Ghana Health Service, the country has so far recorded 53,653 with 52,331 recoveries and 331 deaths leaving 991 active cases.

President Akufo-Addo yesterday, December 20, announced that he has put together a team of experts to procure the COVID-19 vaccine for Ghana.

He proclaimed that that “Government will ensure that the Covid-19 vaccines to be deployed in the country are effective and are safe”.
