"The family will sit down to observe one week since the departure of our brother. The date is Saturday, May 9 at Lake Side, Ashaley Botwe near the Police Station and Kumasi will be Pakoso – Asokore Mampong. We would love everyone to come, especially Bishop Bernard Nyarko’s fans but because of President Akufo-Addo’s ban on public gathering, we are force to do it private and strictly by invite."

"We should not break the law, because we are all under the law. We are not preventing anyone from attending the one-week observation but we have to respect the law and the President’s directives.” Mr. Darko said."

He noted that even though it was the late Bishop Bernard's wish to keep things private, the family can do nothing to go against this wish as they are handicapped by the restrictions on public gathering by the president. He stated that one-week observation will be strictly by invite and therefore is not open to the general public.
