Chief Appeals To Akufo-Addo -To Construct Physics Laboratory For Kwanyako Senior High School
The chief of Agona Kwanyako in the Agona East District of the Central Region, Nana Ampem Darkoh IV, has appealed to the government and other educational stakeholders to assist in building an ultra-modern physics laboratory for Kwanyako Senior High School.
Nana Ampem Darkoh IV disclosed that as part of efforts to address the challenge confronting the school, the community, through a self-help project, has begun constructing a structure for the laboratory.
The initiative will aid in effective teaching and learning, said the Omankrado of the area, Nana Asare Panin I, who spoke on behalf of the chief.
He made this known during the official launch of the Kwanyako Home Coming Ceremony for 2022. It was under the theme “Resource the Youth in Education For Community and National Development.”
The programme was to mobilize funds to complete the project.
According to Nana Ampem Darkoh IV, despite the strenuous efforts to build the lab and other facilities for the school, the government should equally lend a helping hand to bring the project to fruition.

Speaking in an interview with journalists, the Chairman of the occasion, Professor Richard Kofi Asiedu, stated that physics plays a vital role in the medical sciences field, and contributes to human health and overall well-being.
Therefore, with an ultra-modern physics laboratory, Kwanyako SHS could produce a lot of doctors to reduce the patient-to-doctor ratio, which currently impedes effective healthcare delivery in the country.
Prof Kofi Asiedu, also a National Democratic Congress Central Regional Chairman hopeful, encouraged the youth in the area to take their education seriously to become responsible leaders in the future.
Representing the Minister for Trade and Industries at the function was Mr. Longman, the Executive Assistant to Mr. Alan Kwadwo Kyeremateng.
While commending the programme organizers for the step taken to ensure the school gets the facility, he pledged his utmost support for the community’s vision.
Mr. Longman, on behalf of the minister, also pledged to complete the town’s market abandoned in 2020.
