Chad to open embassy in Israel after resuming ties

Following the two nations' re-establishment of diplomatic ties in 2019, Chad will open its embassy in Israel on Thursday.
In Jerusalem on Wednesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Mahamat Deby, who is now in Israel, spoke.
The majority-Muslim nation of Chad severed ties with Israel in 1972.
Although most nations have kept their embassies in Tel Aviv, Mr. Netanyahu's office stated that the two leaders will officiate the opening of the embassy but did not specify where it will be located.
"We think that by working together, we can not only strengthen our ties and our cooperation but also play a role in Israel's return to Africa and Africa's return to Israel. Our shared objectives are stability, prosperity, and security "The prime minister's office released a statement.
