Angel Di Maria and Marquinhos had their homes broken by robbers whiles on duty against Nantes in the French Ligue 1.

Paris Saint Germain lost the game by 2-1 after Di Maria was quickly replaced in the 62nd minute for Leandro Paredes at the Parc De Princess and left for home after news broke of the incident with his wife and children held hostage for some time.

Marquinhos was another player whose home was also targeted by burglars.

Reports by Marca reveals the player's parents were home when the break-in was made by the robbers.

The news was descended to the Sporting Director of Paris Saint Germain,  Leonardo on Sunday night whiles watching his team play. He walked to the touchline to communicate with Mauricio Pochettino on the need to withdraw the player to attend to his family.

Minutes later, the Argentine was subbed from the game for Leandro Paredes whiles the scores were level as he headed to the dressing room before leaving the Stadium for home.

The former Manchester United forward went through a similar ordeal during his days in England with the Red Devils in 2015 when he and his family were attempted to raid by burglars. He sold his mansion later for £4 m and moved into a permanent residence in a hotel.
