"Buga’ Africa’s Anthem" – Kizz Daniel Disagrees With Shettima

Famous singer, Kizz Daniel, has said contrary to Vice President Kashim Shettima’s claim that his hit song, ‘Buga,’ is almost becoming Nigeria’s second national anthem, the song is “actually” the African continent’s anthem.

Soireenews learnt that Shettima, while harping on the exploits on Nigerian art and culture on the global scene, claimed in a recent interview that Kizz Daniel and Tekno’s ‘Buga’ is almost becoming the country’s second national anthem.

Reacting to a viral clip of the interview on X, Kizz Daniel appreciated Shettima for his comment but added that the song is the continent’s anthem, not just Nigeria.

He wrote, “Actually, it is the continent’s anthem. Thank you, Vice President Kashim Shettima.”

Meanwhile, Kizz Daniel’s surprise remix of his hit song ‘Twe Twe’ with his colleague Davido has sparked reactions among music lovers on social media.

Kizz Daniel took his fans unaware with the surprise release of ‘Twe Twe’ remix on digital streaming platforms on Thursday.

The stunned fans thronged the social media pages of the artistes to dish out their opinions about the collaboration.

While many gave the collaboration a thumbs-up, others promised to review it after many replays.

It was gathered that Kizz Daniel released the original version of ‘Twe Twe’ in December 2023, alongside ‘Too Busy To Be Bae.’

This is also not the first time Kizz Daniel and Davido will be working together.

The duo collaborated on ‘One Ticket’ in 2018.
