The decision is aimed at promoting the Women Super League.

The Brazilian Football Federation have agreed that wages between the male and female national teams will be equal.

The decision by the CBF will take effect when teams participate in the Olympics next year as well as next year’s World cup tournament, a method to promote Women’s Football in the country.

"The CBF has equaled the prize money and allowances between men's and women's football, which means the women players will earn the same as the men," said the federation's president Rogerio Caboclo.

Brazil joins Australia, Norway, and New Zealand as they seek to maintain a balance in gender and avoid discrimination among country heroes and heroines.

"It will be proportionally the same as what Fifa proposes for women, that is to say, there will be no more gender difference in remuneration between men and women," he added.

The United States of America Women’s National team called for equal remuneration between them and the Men after winning the World Cup trophy.

They sued their federation and alleged them of discrimination on payment but the case was dismissed by a judge.
