A cyber security expert, Prince Adu Gyamfi is advising the youth against the improper usage of the internet calling on them to be cautious of what they post they for they will be referred to in the near future.

A cyber security expert, Prince Adu Gyamfi is advising the youth against the improper usage of the internet calling on them to be cautious of what they post; for they will be referred to it in the near future.

He was speaking at the Ahafo Unleash Technology program, a program wihich was organized by Y & S Professional Institute in collaboration with Baobab Entrepreneur and other partners.

The Ahafo Unleash Technology is a free event that included digital and Entrepreneurial training skills that equipped participants to create their own jobs and trained many others in the technological space.

 Y&S Professional Institute aims at creating awareness in technology, digital skills, and entrepreneurship. 

 In addition, the event seeks to provide young people with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to encourage technology and entrepreneurial success amongst the Youth in Ahafo and to also encourage them to take up Technology and entrepreneurship as a solution to unemployment.

 Speaking of Cyber security, Mr. Prince Adu Gyamfi urged the youth to be security conscious whiles using the internet and be mindful of what they post on the internet.

 According to him, companies, organisation’s, corporate entities amongst other entities mostly refer to what one post on social media before considering them employment or other opportunities.

 “You will never know what the future holds for you, you may get employment opportunities, ministerial appointments amongst others where your bosses will refer to your social media handles to do a background check on you, be mindful of what you post there so it does not come back to haunt you”, he stressed.

 Mr. Adu Gyamfi further stressed on the need to be security conscious whiles using the Internet by not releasing their password information to people they are not sure of on the internet.
