The newly installed Queen Mother of Akumah in the Nkoranza South of the Bono East Region, Nana Agyeiwaa Kodie II has said she will do everything possible to empower women to be very relevant in the Ghanaian society.

She stated that it is about time she ensured that the youth, especially women in Akumah are properly educated so as to take the rightful positions in the community and Ghana at large.

Nana Agyeiwaa Kodie ll made the declaration in an interview with SN24 Reporter, King George after her installation as the Queen Mother of Akumah by the kingmakers of the Akumah Betenase Royal family.

The Akumah Queen Mother added that women have a greater role to play in nation-building therefore, it is the responsibility of all leaders to educate them to be significant figures in the various societies in Ghana.

Therefore, she will engage girls in educational programs in order for Akumah community to have more females taking big positions in government.

"Females have a great portion of my position in other to raise high the name of Akumah community and Ghana at Large" she added.

She directed that the youth, in particular, must form the right associations which are geared towards the development of Akumah.

Commending the Kingmakers, the entire Akumah community for their unflinching support, Nana Agyeiwaa Kodie II however called for an all-inclusive ruling, the move she believes will facilitate the development of Akumah
