Cocoa Farmers Association,  Nyame Ye Odo Cooperative Executives who were accused of selling fertilizers to farmers at Ayimom in the Berekum West District of the Bono Region have been proven not guilty of the accusation.

According to Nana Kyere Daibour who is the former Atipimhene of Ayimom and the secretary to the Nyame  Ye Odo Farmers Association,  they have been cleared by the Cocoa Board for not stealing farmers' fertilizer after he was arrested by the Jinjini Police Station. 

"After carefully investigating the matter by COCOBBOD, we have been vindicated of the offense and our enemies have been put to shame", he stated.

Nana Diabour explained, "It was through our efforts that the COCOBOD released the fertilizers to be supplied to our farmers but they ungratefully accused of stealing".

He accused the Chief Farmer, Kwasi Brober, and some members of the community of citing the farmers against their leadership with suchhan untruthjful accusation and subsiquently organizing the youth in the town to fight the Association leaders.


This was after the Chief Farmer for the area, Kwasi Brobber and some farmers at Ayimom accused the leadership of the Cooperative of stealing 59 bags of fertilizers.

The allegation attracted the attention of the police of the area which led them to force the executives to pay for the fertilizers stolen. 

Meanwhile, Nana Diabour together with the Executives of the Union are calling on the chief of Ayimom, Chief Farmer Kwasi Brober, and the others to render an unqualified apology for tarnishing their image will false accusation.

 "We want the chief of Ayimom Nana Dianbour, the chief farmer Kwasi Brobbey, and their other alliance to apologize to us for the damages caused", he stressed.
