According to the aggrieved market women, they are not safe at all since wee smokers continuously steal their items daily at night whenever they close from work.

The market women in the Awutu Breku in the Awutu Senya West District of Central Region have calleinspectorlnspector General of Police, COP Dr Akuffo Dampare to beef up the security in Awutu Breku especially in the market place to enhance socioeconomic development in the area.
According to the aggrieved market women, they are not safe at all since wee smokers continuously steal their items daily at night whenever they close from work.
They hunted that, the activities of the criminals are retrogressing their businesses a situation they described as worrying and sad since most of the traders depend on loans in raising capital for their trade.
The traders made this known after when the Awutu Breku District Police Command organised a sensitization exercise for the market women on safety and how to provide personal security to themselves during this Christmas season.

She however, used the opportunity to call on the Member of Parliament Honourable Gizella Tetteh and District Chief Executive Honourable Joseph Aidoo to as a matter of urgency fence the market to prevent criminals from getting access to the market.
