"Assist immigration Service in curbing iligal entry into the country"-Peace Council charges Border Communities

Mr. Ernest Lartey, Head of Peace and Security at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping and training center has pleaded with people who are living in and around border towns in the country to be extremely vigilant in assisting the Ghana Immigration Services personnel to apprehend foreigners who enter the country with negative intentions that may disrupt the peace and security of the country.

"The indigenes In Border Communities Must Assist The Immigration Officers To Trap Terrible Foreigners", he stressed 

Mr. Ernest speaking at a 2day workshop in Sampa (Jaman North District Capital) organized by the National Peace Council stated that peace is very paramount in the development of every country hence the need for Ghana to maintain peace and stability to ensure positive economic, social and political growth.

Pastor Benjamin Nobi, Chairman of the Jaman North Local Council of Churches Stressed that Ushers in the various churches in Ghana must be watchful in their activities during church services to prevent unknown and dangerous persons from having access to the congregation.

He said Ushers must act quickly to report persons they suspect of being
Criminal to the authorities of the church, adding that pastors must invite security and peace experts to their churches from time to time to help educate their members.
