Ashanti region - Nurse Injured After Gas Cylinder Explode During Cooking

Five Bedroom House has been engulfed by fire in Bantama Constituency, of the Ashanti region.

The house which is said to be belonging to a nurse was unfortunately caught up in a fire on Sunday. Currently, one casualty has been recorded.

The Bedroom house with toilet, hall, and kitchen have been completely burnt after a gas cylinder exploded. The unfortunate incident happened at Atafoa New-Site in the Bantama Constituency of the Ashanti Region on February 6, 2022, at about 6:30 pm on Sunday.

Speaking to Akwasi Asuah an  Eyewitness, he explained that the incident was caused by gas while preparing the sapper.

 
“The owner of the house who is a nurse was cooking sapper yesterday,  but unfortunately the cylinder exploded without drawing any attention.

The woman knew at the Area as madame nurse was burnt beyond recognition. the house was also ravaged completely by the Inferno.  

The eyewitness continued that the woman was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for treatment.

Residents say, they had no idea of the sad incident until the victim was heard shouting for assistance. " we rushed there to save her and her belonging, we managed to assist her to gain her life but personal belongings were burnt into ashes they inhabitants made known".
