The Education Minister, Yaw Adutwum is pushing for the approval of the 2022 budget statement and economic policy of government since he believes that ''it holds the key to transforming education in Ghana".
The Minister in debating the statement hyped interventions being undertaking by government in the education sector. Key amongst them is the massive investment in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) education in Ghana.
He hinted that as part of measures to build a formidable education sector, the government seeks to build some 35 STEM High Schools and 5 STEM Universities in the country.
Speaking with the press in parliament, he fumed at the minority's plan to hinder the approval of the budget statement and this according to him, can endanger education in Ghana. He added that "the 2022 budget has brought America To Ghana".
