INFORMATION gathered by team Mrs. Gertrude Oppong, the Kyibi Yaa Asantewaa has uncovered a grand scheme hatched by the Akwansirahene of Kyibi one Asiedu and Akwansirahene of Apapamu, Nana Baah, popularly known as Haruna, to link the shooting and killing of some taskforce belonging to the Okyehene Land Protection Agency at Asuaba and it adjourning communities to her.
According to information intercepted, Nana Baah and his men are working 24/7 to ensure that Mrs. Gertrude Oppong is either imprisoned or wipe from the surface of this earth.
In an interview, Mrs. Gertrude Oppong accused the taskforce and one Haruna for plotting to link her to the murder of one of the taskforce who apparently was shot miles away from the area they were destroying their farmlands running into several acreage.
Another scheme uncovered include an attempt to use the police to press fresh charges against her and bundle her to Kyibi, the Divisional Command to teach her a lesson because their earlier plan failed.
The helpless woman is currently standing trial at the Kraboa Cortael Magistrate Court for organizing press conference to expose the heinous crimes that the taskforce and Haruna melted to the innocent farmers for grading their farm lands.
In a minute video recording intercepted suggested a press conference organised by Haruna and his men on Tuesday June 4, 2024, attended by UTV, Onua TV, Joy News and Adom TV, he (Haruna) alleges without facts that Mrs. Gertrude Oppong sent people to shoot at them.
“So the question is that if organizing a press conference is not a crime, why are they intimidating the helpless woman. If it is not a grand scheme to peddle falsehood against the woman and press fresh charges, what took them so long to now coming out with a presser,” she stated.
It has also been reported that Haruna and the taskforce stormed the villages some weeks ago on a man hunt for the men moving house to house looking to arrest and maltreat the villagers to intimidate them from speaking or rising against them.
It would be recalled that on May 10, 2024 after attending a court proceeding with them, the taskforce numbering about 20 in a Rambo-style gave the woman a hot chase trying to whisk her away from her vehicle to an unknown destination but through the resilient of her sympathizers, she escaped that hurdle.
Mrs Gertrude Oppong is therefore appealing to the Inspector General of Police to provide her with security. “I fear for my life.”
