A/G Inducts Rev. Ampiaw As District Pastor Of Ablekuma-Gbawe 

The Senior Pastor of the Mount Zion Assemblies of God (A/G), Reverend Eric Ampiaw, has been inducted as the District Pastor of the Ablekuma-Gbawe District, Greater Accra West.

He was inducted by the Regional Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Michael Offei Ayesu, at a colourful induction ceremony at the Mount Zion A/G in Awoshie, Accra on Sunday, June 25, 2023.

The Senior Pastor of the A/G, Abundant Grace Centre, Rev. Michael Yao Amable, and Rev. Jeremiah Nabla were also installed into office as District Treasurer and District Secretary respectively of the district.

The ceremony was interspersed with hymns by the Ablekuma-Gbawe Mass Choir much to the delight of the congregation.

Prayers were said for the inductees and the district representatives to receive divine wisdom to steer the affairs of the district to higher grounds.
 
Delivering the sermon, Rev. Offei Ayesu called on Christians to strive to accomplish the will of God on earth.

According to him, three factors were crucial to ensure that Christians achieve the will of God.

These, he mentioned, were “aligning yourself with God’s word, committing yourself to God’s people, and devotion to God’s service.”
  
He explained that for a Christian to align himself/herself with God’s word, he/she must have a clear mind to be able to do God’s will.

He asked Christians to be wary of what he described as the gradual creeping of “things of the world” into the church.

“We are living in times where the things of the world are coming into the church, and thus the need for us as Christians to be careful.  Even our normal marriages are being threatened by gays,” he lamented.

These are signs of the end times which Christians must be careful and guard against, he stressed.
 
On achieving God’s will via commitment to God’s people, the Regional Superintendent encouraged believers to have deep love for one another.

“If we have deep love amongst ourselves as Christians there will be no jealousy, envy, backbiting, and we will have no cause to grumble or argue when we offer hospitality or help to one another,” he said.

Finally, he pointed out accomplishing God’s will could also be done by devotion to God’s service.

“This means that what we are doing as Christians for people, churches is service to God, adding that “every service we render is to the glory of God,” he underscored.  
     
Rev. Offei Ayesu charged Rev. Ampiaw to seek the face of God in steering the affairs of the district, and encouraged him to do the work of an evangelist.

He, therefore, urged him to refrain from “grumbling” but love all the pastors and A/G members in the district without measure.    

He was confident that Rev. Ampiaw will lead the Ablekuma-Gbawe District to greater heights.  

The three inductees were made to sign the Oaths of Secrecy and Office.  

They were asked to make a conscious effort to study the Bible and use it to correct, rebuke and encourage the Christian community in the district.

“Also, study and abide by dictates of the Assemblies of God, Ghana Constitution and bye-laws,” he charged them.
    
Earlier, the Special Guest of Honour, the Regional Superintendent, Central Region B, Rev. Kwaku Efiinu Obiako, who was Chairman for the occasion, described Rev. Ampiaw’s appointment as a testament of his steadfastness to the work of God.

“I know Rev. Eric Ampiaw can do this job because the Lord has found him faithful. This is a man who has been called into ministry,” he said.

He entreated him to continue to rely on God, adding that “He will see you through the end of your tenure.”
   
Furthermore, he called on A/G members in the district to rally behind him, adding that the “Lord will use him (Rev. Ampiaw) to do many exploits in the district.”

For his part and behalf of his two able officers, Rev. Ampiaw thanked the church for the support, and pledged that they would work with the other leaders to achieve the transformational agenda of the Assemblies of God, Ghana.

“We want to humbly request our pastors and cherished church members within our district to cooperate with us with sincerity of heart to lift the image of our organisation in the district,” he appealed.
    
He also urged Christians to continue to do the work of God.

The service was graced by senior and seasoned pastors of Assemblies of God, Ghana.
