On Sunday, Tanzania's Diamond Platnumz's page, which has over 6.5 million subscribers and over a billion page views, was allegedly hacked.

Wasafi, Diamond Platnumz's record company, received an email from YouTube informing them that the account had been suspended, according to a Wasafi official.

It was suspended, according to Majidi Ramadhani, after the hackers released content that breached the digital platform's norms.

He told Kenya's Daily Nation that the company had sustained a large loss and that they were attempting to rectify the situation.

On Monday, the musician announced that his Instagram page had been restored.

"Thank you, my Beloved," he continued, "my Youtube channel is restored."
