African will never again allow slavery in this 21st century -Prez. Akuffo Addo

He said this during the Emancipation Day durbar at Assin Manso with the theme, Empowering the African family to confront the challenges of the 21st century.

His Excellency the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo- Addo has said Africans together will never allow slave trade again in this 21st century.

He said this during the Emancipation Day durbar at Assin Manso with the theme, Empowering the African family to confront the challenges of the 21st century. 

According to President Nana Akuffo Addo, the African family will build a bridge across the Atlantic and allows us and our brothers and sisters all over the world to find themselves again as one.

He added that the celebration of  Emancipation allows us to do many things and bring us back to memories of millions of kings who were killed as a result of the slave trade and also to renew a pledge that Never again will Africa allow such atrocities, barbarism to be visited go us Africans ever again.

 

According to President Nana Akuffo Addo, the country Ghana and the African commonwealth thank the ancestors for instituting this day of Emancipation, He added. 

He said Africans will unite and announced that they will never allow such atrocities to happen again in this time and whatever the needs of Africa will have. 

He then plead and assured the Chiefs to help him and the NPP Government to complete all roads network in the country. 

Berima Kwame Nkyi XIII, Paramount Chief of Assin Apimanim Traditional Area on his part also said it is time we speak our own local dialogue this time to understand and to shift away from mental slavery as he describes it as same-sex whiles we have come from the gate of no return to the gate of return.
