World Trade Organization, WTO, Director General, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has sent a message to the Super Eagles of Nigeria as they prepare to take on the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the semi-final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations on Wednesday morning, February 7, 2024.

Okonjo-Iweala, in a tweet via her X account, urged the Super Eagles to get the job done against South Africa and qualify for the AFCON finals.

She, however, wished Jose Peseiro’s men the best of luck against their opponent.

Wishing our very own Super Eagles the best of luck tomorrow!! Let’s get it done,” Okonjo-Iweala wrote.

Nigeria had defeated Angola 1-0 in the quarter-final encounter, while South Africa won 2-1 via penalty shootout against Cape Verde.

Meanwhile, Osimhen is expected to go straight into the Super Eagles starting XI for the match.

Jose Peseiro will likely stick to his winning formula, which means Osimhen would be supported in attack by top scorer Ademola Lookman and Simon Moses.

The 3-4-3 formation Peseiro has reverted to, has William Troost-Ekong, Semi Ajayi and Calvin Bassey shielding Nwabali in defence.

Ola Aina and Zaidu Sanusi will operate on the flanks, while Alex Iwobi and Frank Onyeka will occupy the midfield.

The kick-off time for Nigeria vs South Africa is 6 pm.
