“Passion for my Job and passion for my club” were the words of Jose Mourinho in his first interview as manager for Tottenham Hotspurs.

The former Real Madrid and Manchester United boss was installed as the new manager on Wednesday after the exit of Mauricio Pochettino by club chairman, Daniel Levy due a decline in form, which sights them 14th on the Premier League table.

Speaking on Spurs TV, Jose Mourinho revealed enthusiasm and ensured to transform the team from their current position.

"I couldn't be happier and if I was not as happy as I am, I wouldn't be here.

"What can I promise? Passion - for my job but also passion for my club. It's a privilege when a manager goes to a club and feels that happiness in relation to the squad that he's going to have.

"These are not words of the moment. They are not words of me being the Tottenham head coach. These are words that I've told and I've repeated in the last three, four, five years even as an opponent.

Mourniho’s first test is a trip to West Ham on Saturday where he will look to end a five match winless run.
