Accra High Court approves Sports Ministry’s roadmap for amputee football

An Accra High Court has approved the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MOYS) suggested roadmap for amputee football in the nation and Ghana's participation in this year's World Cup, pending the resolution of a lawsuit before it.

The court contends that the lawsuit shouldn't prevent the players from competing in sports or from having an opportunity to represent Ghana at the World Cup.

The National Paralympic Committee of Ghana and the National Sports Authority are entities within the Sports Ministry and have significant duties to play in carrying out the roadmap, the court claims.

Ghana will represent Africa in the Amputee World Cup in Turkey after winning last year’s AFCON.
