The Theacting President of Abura Traditional Council, Nana Denkyira Aprofi has called to end rural-urban migration in his Traditional Area. According to the Chief, most of the youths in the traditional area are always seen traveling to the cities in search of jobs.

ABURA OBOKOR CHIEF POISED TO ELIMINATE RURAL-URBAN MIGRATION IN HIS COMMUNITY

The acting President of Abura Traditional Council, Nana Denkyira Aprofi has called to end rural-urban migration in his Traditional Area.

According to the Chief, most of the youths in the traditional area are always seen traveling to the cities in search of jobs.

He said he will collaborate with the stakeholders, non-governmental organizations, private individuals, and other entities to help create jobs in his traditional area to stop most of the youths from traveling to urban centers to search for jobs.

The Chief made this known to Sorienews after he was confirmed and accepted at his unveiling ceremony at the Central Regional House of Chiefs.

He said again he will make sure chieftaincy disputes in the traditional area will be reduced and solve all disputed issues to create peace and stability in the area.

He also elaborated that, he will collaborate with the District Chief Executive for the Abura Asebu Kwamankese District Assembly for development in terms of road construction and other facilities.

Adding that most of the roads in the area are in bad shape so he is putting in place good

measures to collaborate with the Central Regional Minister to make sure most of the roads are constructed.

He concluded that under his tenure the people in the area will see a massive development as far as he is concerned.
