Abu Jinapor unseats Adam Mutawakilu in Damongo

A Deputy Chief of Staff at the Presidency, Mr Samuel Abu Jinapor has won the Parliamentary election over NDC's Mr Adam Mutawakilu in the Damongo Constituency of the Savannah Region.

Mr Jinapor polled 15,671 votes to defeat the incumbent Mr Mutawakilu who polled 13,330 votes while an independent candidate David Tiki Dange polled 296 votes
A total of 29,150 valid votes were cast in the Parliamentary election with 499 rejected ballots.
