Abronye DC Charged With Publication Of False News And Offensive Conduct

The police administration of Ghana has confirmed that it has arrested and detained the Bono Region Chairperson of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Kwame Baffoe alias Abronye DC.
According to the statement signed by the Director-General of the Public Affairs Department of the Ghana Police Service, DCOP, Kwasi Ofori, the NPP top shot was invited to the Accra Regional police headquarters over some allegations he made against former President John Mahama Dramani
Abronye alleged that former President Mahama is planning a coup to overthrow the current NPP government.
The police invited him to assist them with information about the supposed coup the former President is plotting.
According to a statement released by the police investigation done by done made them conclude that Abronye’s allegation is false.
He has subsequently been detained, charged with publication of false news and offensive conduct.
