A Popular Artiste Cried In My Studio Over Social Media Trolls - Appietus
Appietus narrates how not every celebrity is throng enough to withstand social media trolls, gives an example of a popular celebrity crying in his studio over such social media comments
Appietus has revealed the impact of social media trolls on celebrities.
The celebrated music producer noted that celebrities are often devastated by the terrible comments fans make on social media.
So much so that a popular celebrity had once broken down to tears in his studio while reading the nasty comment that had been directed at him by one of his fans.
He however did not disclose the identity of the artists that cried.
Appietus narrated how the artiste had spent the studio session crying while he has to comfort the artiste and show him fans that troll him too.
The music producer noted that he mocked the artiste for being fragile even though he understands that not everyone is strong when it comes to issues of mental health.
“He was in my studio reading some of the comments on social media and he was crying like a baby; I mocked him. I had to reveal some of my experiences to him before he could wipe his tears. And, ironically, the person who made the comment is far from accomplished,” he said in an interview with AdomTV.
Appietus then took the opportunity to plead with the public to stop unnecessary teasing of celebrities because it affects their creativity.
He established that even most of them might look like they are strong on the outside when they hear them, most of them cry when they are in their private spaces.
“Outside the field, celebrities have their own private life so imagine if people are so invested in poking their nose in their business. Remember that not everyone is strong; some people will not mind, others are not as strong as they appear to be."
"This is what leads many to depression. A friend sent me a list of 315 mutual friends on Facebook who are dead because of trolling. They are all young people. I did not believe it at that time and called some of their relatives and it proved to be true,” he concluded.
