A Nigerian army helicopter crash claimed the lives of both pilots.

Two Nigerian military pilots were killed in a helicopter crash in Kaduna, the country's northernmost metropolis.

The plane landed at an air force installation on Tuesday evening.

Nigeria's Chief of Air Staff, Oladayo Amao, paid a visit to the city to grieve the deceased's relatives, friends, and coworkers.

The accident's cause remains unknown.

At least four Nigerian military planes have crashed in the previous year, including one in May last year that killed the country's army leader and about a dozen other officers.
